Lucky Number 13

I think this is a cute coincidence that two of my idols happen to have the same birth date, the same birth year and the same lucky number.

The first one is Taylor Swift who was born in December 13, 1989.

She used to always draw her lucky number 13 on her hand with marker before every concert.

Swift explains how the number can only mean something fantastic will happen in her life:
“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter.”

The second one is Thomas Müller who was born in September 13, 1989.

Twenty-year old Müller went to the World Cup for the first time wearing the number 13 once adorned by his great namesake Gerd.

May I add that the best day of Germany's nationalmannschaft was the 13th day of July 2014? I was there in my living room at 4 am, screamed my lungs out and sprinted to the kitchen and back after Mario Götze scored the winning goal in the 113th minute...I repeat, one hundred and thirteenth minute. Can I make it anymore obvious?

 

And when the referee blew the final whistle, I felt the most exquisite feeling in my life.

My my.. look at the hysteria, the chaos.. XD

I just want to wish them a successful career and happy life :)

 

Me and Music

I love music. I love singing and playing my key board!!! X3

But the truth is..
When I was a kid, I didn't have any interests in music. I listened to my friend's music, even if I didn't understand the meaning of the songs. I wondered why my friend would write down all the lyrics they know on their note books, unlike me whose memories were full of my school things. They talked fun facts about their idols, while I didn't have ANY favorites. My life's so plain...

And after that I joined a vocal course near my house, I kind of get used to singing. Slowly but surely I know about notes, intonation, articulation, harmony, and all stuffs about being a singer, but I was taking it too seriously until I forgot that music can be enjoyable. I became so nervous when it's time to perform. I'm thinking too much about perfection.

Then, I came across some singing competitions on the television. All of the contestants were really.. really.. confident. And some of them were truly talented. I'm impressed! 8D

Start from that moment, I began to express myself by listening to music, my own music! I got interested in tons of singers, mostly female singers :D even boybands =B I did a cover of "Fifteen" by Taylor Swift in my fifteenth birthday with my best friend. I watched the video of my first boyband, which is happened to be BEAST (a boyband from Southeast Asia), for too many times. I'm fangirling over the adorable Yang Yoseob (still an Asian idol) and the cute Niall Horan from One Direction! XD

More importantly, now I sing when or where I want to. No need to have special talents. I'm just one of the girls who passionately loves singing to bits ♥

Taylor Swift Have Stolen the Show at VMA 2012

Wow, another  impressive performance from Taylor Swift..!!! XD

Swift performed her smash hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” live for the first time at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on September 6, 2012, which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Swift stood out the last performance of the night.

Jump to the fashion, Swift wore white silk tuxedo jacket with white pants, which is a cool ladylike style.   

Then she changed into a casual red and white striped t-shirt, red brogues, and black denim shorts which showed her leggy-legs. Do not forget about her signature red bold lipstick and high ponytail hair style. What a catchy and sweet appearance :3

There’s no doubt about Swift’s expertness in entertaining the audience. In my opinion, she’s a very interactive singer who always wants to have physical connection with the crowd. That’s one of her personality I admire.

She brought her back-up singers, dancers and band, who wore animal costumes. She definitely shows her attractive side and rocks the stage. At the end of her performance, she launched herself to the crowd and did a short crowd-surf.

One of the funny thing was while the song is rumoured to be about Jake Gyllenhaal, the cameras kept turning to other Swift’s ex, Taylor Lautner. Awkward =D

She also took a backstage photograph with PSY, a Korean singer who become famuous with his song “Oppa Gangnam Style”.

After all, I think she did a great work to give a memorable closing performance ^^v

Her first album : TAYLOR SWIFT

1.     Tim McGraw

Lagu ini bercerita tentang pacar Taylor Swift semasa SMA. Hubungan mereka sangat menyenangkan, bagaimana mereka menghabiskan liburan musim panas bersama dengan berdansa di pinggir danau dan memandangi bintang-bintang. Sayangnya, mereka harus berpisah setelah lulus untuk pergi ke universitas masing-masing.

Karena itulah, Taylor berharap sang mantan akan teringat hubungan mereka dulu saat mendengar lagu ini. 

“I hope you think of me.”

FYI, this song probably is the first song you have ever heard from Taylor, because this was her amazing debut single ^_^

2.       Picture to Burn

Bercerita tentang kemarahan seorang cewek saat memergoki pacarnya selingkuh *APAAA!!

Jadi daripada nangis bombay gak jelas, lebih baik segera ambil tindakan.

It’s time for girls to take action. 

Like Taylor said in this song, 

“There’s no time for tears, I’m just sitting here planning my revenge!”

Di video klip-nya, setelah puas mengacak-acak rumah si cowok tukang selingkuh itu, Taylor membakar semua foto cowok tersebut sambil berkata, “You know what, I’m over it..”

3.       Teardrops on My Guitar

Pernah nggak sih ngerasain cinta bertepuk sebelah tangan? Haduh, jangan sampai deh, mending yang bertepuk kedua tangan aja, ya nggak? ;)

Jadi lagu ini bercerita tentang sakit yang dirasakan Taylor saat teman cowok yang diam-diam ia sukai malah suka sama cewek lain. Parahnya, si cowok itu mesti larinya ke Taylor saat doi mau curhat tentang cewek pujaan hatinya. Makan hati, kan? :(

Tapi, Taylor menunjukkan kesabaran dan ketabahannya dengan memaksakan dirinya untuk tersenyum seperti yang diungkapkan dalam lagunya, 

“Drew looks at me. I fake a smile so he won’t see.”

4.       A Place in This World

Lagu ini ingin menjadi penyemangat dan pendorong bagi tiap cewek yang mendengarnya. Terutama bagi cewek yang masih bingung untuk menemukan jati dirinya. Dengan segala kelebihan dan kekurangan yang kita miliki, kita harus berani untuk mencoba. Mungkin kita akan gagal, mungkin kita hanya seorang diri, tapi itu semua tak masalah karena memang itulah hal yang harus kita tempuh untuk mendapatkan tempat di dunia ini, tempat yang memang sesuai dengan keinginan kita dan tempat dimana kita merasa paling nyaman.

5.       Our Song

Lagu yang bercerita tentang “lagu kita”, lho kok? :D

Hal-hal sederhana yang kita alami sehari-hari bisa diubah menjadi sebuah lagu country asyik oleh Taylor Swift.

Seperti sepenggal lirik dalam lagunya yang jika diartikan menceritakan tentang bagaimana sang cowok menyelinap keluar rumah diam-diam untuk pergi ke rumah ceweknya dan mengetuk jendela rumah si cewek. Mereka mengobrol lama melalui telepon dengan suara yang super pelan agar tidak terdengar oleh ibunya..
Haha.. aneh-aneh aja.. xD

“Our song is the slamming screen door. Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window. When we're on the phone and you talk real slow 'cause it's late and your mama don't know.”

6.       Should’ve Said No

Lagu ini bercerita tentang patah hati yang dialami seorang cewek saat mengetahui bahwa dia hanya dipermainkan dan diduakan oleh cowoknya. Aiiih, teganyaa.. >:0

Sehingga cewek tersebut ingin membuat cowok buaya darat-nya itu menyadari betapa penting dirinya selama ini. Dan ketika si cowok menyesal telah memutuskan cewek tersebut, sudah tiada maaf baginya, huahaha ^o^ 

“You shouldn't be begging for my forgiveness at my feet. 

You should've said no, baby, and you might still have me.”

Walaupun begitu, sebenarnya cewek tersebut ingin kembali memperbaiki hubungannya, tapi apa daya, sekarang cowoknya telah berubah. Satu-satunya yang bisa dilakukan adalah melepaskan cowoknya itu.
Dalam konsernya, Taylor menyanyikan lagu ini dengan emosional di tengah guyuran hujan buatan di atas panggung, so gorgeous.. =))

7.       I’m Only Me When I’m With You

Aku hanya bisa menjadi diriku saat bersamamu. Aww, pasti menyenangkan jika punya best friend yang bisa mengerti kita, menerima kita apa adanya, memiliki mimpi yang sama dengan kita dan bisa menjadi teman yang paling asyik untuk kita ajak hangout bareng :3

Persahabatan seperti itulah yang diceritakan dalam lagu ini. 

“When I'm with anybody else it's so hard to be myself. And only you can tell.”

Jadi, coba lihatlah di sekeliling kita, apakah kita sudah memiliki sahabat seperti itu? Pastilah ada seorang sahabat yang memperhatikanmu lebih dari teman-teman lainnya ;)

Masih ada banyaaak lagu lainnya dalam album ini seperti “Cold as You”, “The Outside”, “Tied Together With a Smile”, “Stay Beautiful”, “Mary’s Song”, “Invisible”, dan “Perfectly Good Heart”.
