My Conflicted Feeling for DreamWorks' Jack & Hiccup

This is a pure confession. If you are looking for a new information about DreamWorks, well.. I'm sorry to let you down. I'm not the expert.

If there's anyone who is still reading this, please, bear with my immature thought (>_<)

Everyone knows I'm a slave to The Big Four fandom, a group of cross-over characters consists of Hiccup, Jack Frost (both produced by DreamWorks), Rapunzel and Merida (both produced by Walt Disney). We got two guys and two princesses.

Just a few minutes ago, I heard that How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer has been released this July and will be back in 2014. I'm supposed to be thrilled, right? RIGHT? Of course I am glad to know that DreamWorks spent 3 years, since How to Train Dragon (HtTYD) aired in 2010, working on to give fans the continuation of Hiccup's adventure.

I'm really, really excited to see Hiccup, Toothless and Astrid again.

And I'm so surprised that Hiccup CHANGES! He grows up, becoms more manly, more like viking *heart beats faster* \(///Σ///)/

But.. Arrrggggh..!!! Someone with humorous nature in facebook said that Jack might lose half of his fangirls. His fangirls will turn around from him and move on to Hiccup.
....
What did he say?!! (° ロ°;)

It's just a joke. But, why do I feel so bothered with that? What if it actually happens? Fan growth is rapidly changing. Some fangirls aren't as engaged as me, moreover with 5-years-older-and-hotter Hiccup sneaking in behind Jack's fandom (-’๏_๏’-)

Please no eye rolls, I have been telling myself, "They're just some characters in kids movie, for crying out loud!" ᕙ(＞д＜)ᕗ

I knew Rise of the Guardians (RotG) didn't make money as much as HtTYD did *stab*. I also knew that my family weren't amazed as much as I was after we watched RotG together in the living room *stab stab*. Ugh. I hate myself for stating that (*￣m￣)

But I fell in love with the sarcastic, adventurous, strongly independent, fearless, intelligent, persistent, charismatic, somewhat charming, humorous and chaotic guy in said movie. I fell in love with Jack and nothing or no one can change that (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I'm a child, right? I get up and down pretty fast. One gif picture of Jack Frost can send me to the moon (´ ▽｀)=3 *sigh*

On the other hand, one unanticipated thought can agonize my inner fangirl feeling, like thinking that Hiccup will dominate Jack. I am the big four fans, but I'm truly a Jack girl. So tell me, is it weird that I just can't celebrate the coming HtTYD 2 because of my unimportant little fear? I mean, I stop being so excited after I realized Hiccup might steal the spotlight causing Jack to lose his fangirls p(´⌒｀｡q)

It's not the characters' fault. It's just me taking this too serious. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed of this over-reactive behavior （//･_･//)v

Fuuuuh.. *take a deep breath*

All this time I overthink it. It goes from the statement in facebook to my overprotective character (>_<)

After a little time to reflect, I get a new fresh point of view （＾ｖ＾）
HOW TO BE A STEADY FANGIRL:

• Do not lessen your dreams because of your fear. 
• Do not watch the movie while you are worried about what others will think.
• Always believe in yourself and decide whether the movie is good based on that.
• Do not listen to what everyone else says.
• Do not let each little comment shake your conviction.
• Do not head toward the light because you fear isolation.
• Do not remeasure your own size with another's ruler.
• Do not have to worry if you have no allies.
• If the chattering voices grow too loud, silence them with an even louder voice.
• Teach them that you stand at the center of the world.
• Push everything else down below you.

Yep.. that's it. By pouring my conflicted feeling into this blog, my burden has been reduced a lot. It's been a while since I wrote such a deep writing like this one. Now I can face whatever standing in my way of admiring Jack Frost. His name has been carved to my heart after all （＾ω＾*）

 

But I think I will go crazy for him in any minute like this!

Jack Frost and Danny Phantom

Funny that my recent posts branded with "Jack Frost's" on their titles. It feels like Jack Frost is growing in my veins, pumped into my heart and I can't get him out of my head if I don't write it in my blog. Pheeww.. he's been quite a trouble lately..

Naah.. just kidding (＾0＾)┛
I knew this whole Jack Frost fever was caused by my childhood memories. My craze for him was formed because of Danny Phantom, one of my ideal hero from nickelodeon cartoon. Jack resembles of him so much with the fact that they're both young, white-haired, "blessed" with supernatural ability by accident, able to fly, cocky and independant. When I figured that out, I was like, "Waaah..!!! No way?! Jack is Danny?!" >,<

Ahahaa.. this is one cute example of a crack pairing XD

 

I'm not the only one who think like this. Apparently, the folks on tumblr has been aware of Danny's reincarnation in Jack. Do you think Danny's ghost power made him stuck at age 14 and turned him into a winter spirit?

That time I watched RotG trailers for the first time, not only did I met Jack Frost, I also met Hiccup, Rapunzel, Merida and Danny Phantom. Just back to the the old school.

A character allowed me to reunite with many characters. And that's what pulled me into the damdest thing...FTFT in my life I'm fangirling over a cross-over. I always thought cross-over was stupid. Turns out that I enjoy it!!! It feels like a shock. Shocked by blessing о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ

We all know Jack's past. It could have been a sad memory, but Jack turned them into a golden memory. How's he doing that?
It's the same answer to the question why Jack was chosen to be a guardian. His heart is pure. He wants nothing but to give the happiness of others, even if it costs him his own life. If you need proof, remember the scene when he gained his memory back. Once his memory returned, he was only happy and grateful to know that she had survived, rather than be disheartened that he had drowned. Moreover, it gives him reason to be a guardian. He's the one who can protect children.

I love all sides of Jack, the guardian, the human and the evil one. I love how the diamonds turn into shattered ice and dark. Am I wrong for loving how helpless Jack looks when he's drowning? And sometimes we have to face the devil in ourselves, right, Jack?

DARK VERSION
This is Jack's deepest nightmare (but, it's our sweet dream XP). A little more fear and evil, he becomes like Pitch. Even so, the only creature who can compete with the hotness of White Jack is the Black Jack. After some research, I can finally give you the picture of Dark Jack that wins the hottest title in Zerochan, being the favorite of 300+ viewers.

I find the cutest non-canon pairing happens to be Jack with Sophie Bennett. They spent a lot of time together. And soon enough, Sophie might grow a romantic feeling for Jack ♥

A Tribute to Jack Frost's Past

JACK & HIS FAMILY

We shall not forget Jack's past life with his precious family, especially his little sister with whom he spent his last moment as a mortal human, before he become a guardian *✲ﾟ*

There are a few suggestions for her name, like Sarah, Jill, Emma and Mary. However, Pippa (Jamie's friend) and Jack Frost's sister are voiced by the same voice actor. Due to this, many fans began to claim this name for Jack's sister.

So, what do you like to call her? Personally, I like to call her Emma Frost. Because it's the name of the main heroine in Once Upon a Time, if you're curious about the reason why I pick that name.

I feel sad for Emma. She must have had a hard time believing that she caused the accident. Watching someone died in front of you.. must have been a hell of a nightmare. So tragic and traumatic (╯︵╰,)

Can you imagine her pain every time she walks past the lake--or how tears run down her face when she pray for her brother?

And Jack who didn't remember anything about his past wasn't better either. Can you imagine his jealousy over watching the other kids sitting with their family--or how bad he wants someone to notice him already?

Ironically, after 300 years he still can't recall the fact that there was once a time he must have had home and family too.

Even though it's painful to think that he lost his life at such a young age, at least the good memories will never fade away.

Even after he died, Jack still embraces Emma. Sadly, he is invisible to her. But, no matter what happened she will always be like everyone's little sister.

We owe Emma for being Jack's most precious memory (❁´◡`❁)♡

JACK & HIS REAL LOVE
This blonde and gentle girl may only a fan made characters, but her existence feels right to me. Jackson Overland Frost was a fun-loving boy and he had many friends. Don't you think he must have had a special friend or at least a girl who had crush on him too?

Her name is up to the fans. But Fanpop has claimed a name for her, which I like: Lyra Wolf. Check out their togetherness from her point of view. I'm certain that Lyra is Jack's real love. Words can't describe their relationship during the time when Jack's still alive. 

Everyday is their spring ♥

Fate chose a separate path for them, unfortunately.

I've been told that every soul knows its time to leave this world. When someone is about to face his time to die, his soul knows it, even if his mind doesn't know. 

From this picture, I can see Lyra got a bad feeling about Jack taking Emma to the lake. Maybe, their souls are connected. She could feel it deep down in her heart, like something's telling her Jack's not coming back. But, she assumed it's just another wrong feeling. Look at her troubled look, watching Jack walks away.

She cried alone in Jack's funeral day. Couldn't bear the guilt that she could have been stopped him from going to the lake.

This is the memory of their last hug, the last time Jack put his arms around Lyra.

Now, ever since Jack got his memory back, the face of smiling Lyra is following Jack.

I think this is time for me to stop because I'm a mess right now.
